The Three Best Gardens in Carrollwood FL

Day-to-day life can be stressful, and it's important to find ways to relax and recharge while getting out of the air conditioned buildings we spend most of our hours in. There's no better way to do that than by spending time in nature, and luckily you won't need to travel farther than the Carrollwood area to do just that. Here are some of the best gardens and farms near your chiropractic clinic in Carrollwood to spend a day or even just an afternoon unwinding and reconnecting with nature.

The first garden I would recommend visiting is called Vista Gardens. Vista Gardens is located on what used to be an ordinary water treatment facility, but it has now been transformed into a gorgeous, lush garden for residents of the area to enjoy. The garden was created through a joint effort by the Carrollwood Village Home Owners Associations and the Hillsborough County Parks and Rec department, so that residents could learn about organic gardening and have a special place in nature to call their own. Today, you can join the garden's club and gain access to exclusive benefits such as your own garden plot, the opportunity to volunteer at the garden and work their annual fall festival. Of course, you don't need to become a member to enjoy the beauty of the garden. Every Friday, the garden hosts a yoga class, open to all. A portion of the proceeds goes towards the garden, so you can feel good about supporting a non-profit with a great cause, all while getting the ultimate relaxation experience.

Next, you need to check out the Urban Oasis Hydroponic Farm located off Linebaugh Avenue. This farm is the perfect place to pick up some fresh, delicious, and locally grown produce. They also use a special drip irrigation system where all plants are grown in containers above-ground, which is a more eco-friendly approach to gardening. If you're dreading a trip to the grocery store and want to stock up on kitchen necessities, head on over to the farm where you'll find more than just fruits and veggies. The garden has partnerships with other local vendors so they also sell organic, fresh products like meats, milk, eggs, and raw honey. When I shopped at the farm I left feeling way more relaxed than I would if I had just left the grocery store. The farm is not open to public on all days, but it is open on Fridays from 10-6 and Saturdays from 10-4, for the general public to enjoy.

The third place worth a visit in the Carrollwood area is Sweetwater Farm. The farm is located on West Comanche Drive, and it is not just a farm but also an environmental education center where members of the public can visit to learn more about sustainable farming. Sweetwater is a great place to bring your kids as it will be an enriching and fun experience for them. The farm hosts many events as well, such as a Sunday farmers market, concerts, outdoor movie nights, and farming workshops. If you end up really loving your visit, you can even become a volunteer.
