Three Restaurants to Visit in
Citrus Park and Carrollwood

Looking to grab a drink or bite in Carrollwood or Citrus Park? Top Carrollwood and Citrus Park Chiropractor has put together a list of the best restaurants to visit near you!

A fun spot in the Citrus Park/Carrollwood area with a casual, fun atmosphere is Ballyhoo Grill located at 7604 Erlich Road. It has an island feel, almost like you're at a beach bar. It's super casual. They have wonderful seafood and American fare as well, and the staff is great, friendly, and fun! Everything is delicious. They have an outside deck that is great for parties and you can even reserve it. They have a tableside Bananas Foster that Is so yummy, and just a fun surprise for a birthday. Ballyhoo's is family friendly! It's located on the corner of Gunn and Erlich Road, a block away from the Citrus Park Mall, right off the Upper Tampa Bay Trail. So while you're out shopping or cycling on the trail, stop by for a drink and a snack. They have a great happy hour and an open bar.

Mellow Mushroom in Citrus Park has a cool atmosphere and very unique pizza. The staff is great and it's a fun place to meet up with family and friends. They have a nice bar with some different and interesting craft beers. My favorite pizza is the mushroom with truffle sauce. And a yummy appetizer to share is the pretzel bites! It comes with a delicious, creamy beer cheese sauce that is perfect for dipping. The pretzel bites also taste homemade, not like mall pretzel bites that have obviously been frozen and thawed. They give you a ton! They have a great $5 pizza lunch special, that comes with a drink and two slices of cheese pizza. Dine in or take out, they are spot on with their take out pick up times. We order frequently for our office and they will even give you paper plates to go!

Ivarone's Steakhouse & Italian Grill in Carrollwood is one of my favorite Italian restaurants/steakhouses, owned and operated by a historic Tampa family. Ivarone's opened in 1948 by Carmine Ivarone Sr who has two sons, so the restaurant is now run by three generations. You will often find one or more of the Ivarone's working in the restaurant, and that's what makes it such a genuine experience. They greet you and mingle with the regulars who have been coming for years. I believe this is what sets them apart. Their food is genuine Italian with huge portions and never disappoints. My favorite dinner is the grouper picatta, steak, and for lunch the filet mignon salad. All are amazing. They have an upstairs party room with a deck that is great for company parties or rehearsal dinners. It has an outside lounge with a bar and televisions. I have eaten at Ivarone's a bunch of times for lunch and dinner and they never disappoint. It's fun to see the old family photos and read the family history located on the walls of the restaurant. It really has a classic feel to it. Carmine Jr. also has a restaurant named Carmine's that is in historic Ybor City. Ivarone's is located at 3617 West Humphrey Street, Tampa, Florida.
